" Weatherbury prides itself in being “far from the madding crowd,” and when you awake to the sounds of cattle lowing in the bowl-shaped valley of pastures and woodlands, you’ll know what tranquility is all about." Rich Warren / Buckeye Power's Country Living October 2007

Queen Bed in upstairs bedroom |

| Reading English novels, we found that a
mews was a stables which had been turned into living quarters -- and thought
"how perfect" as that accurately describes this suite. The living room has
sunny white walls and white trim, with original 2 inch thick oak planks,
joists and beams. The suite is heated by a gas burning fireplace. A
single antique Murphy bed and sleeper sofa add additional sleeping possibilities. In the upstairs bedroom, the cathedral ceiling soars 18 feet. The jenny lind queen and (full) daybed have gingham and floral bed linens. The floors are the original yellow pine flooring from the hayloft. The bedroom opens onto a deck over-looking the pasture. The bathroom (also on the 2nd floor) has an old fashioned clawfoot tub with a shower and pull-chain toilet. Throughout, the suite has a garden theme. Sleeps 7.
Sleeps 7. (2 adults max) The Mews has individually controlled air conditioning with ceiling fans. Heating is provided by the gas burning fireplace downstairs; there is also an upstairs wall heating unit. There is a small refrigerator in the living room for guests' use.
